My love for art started with needlework. I started off with needlepoint kits as a kid. When I discovered cross-stitch, I was hooked. I’ve tried various different types of needlework since then, but my favorite is quilting. Why? Of all the different types of needlework I tried, quilting affords me the greatest freedom for self-expression. Since I wanted to design more of my own quilts, I decided to take drawing classes to improve my design skills. I didn’t know then that I would love to draw. Now drawing has become another interest of mine and I’ve decided to incorporate it into this blog.  Feel free to take a look at both!
